“Asha and Louise”

Ethnic Dance Performing Duo

“Asha and Louise” performed as a dance duo throughout the San Francisco Bay Area during the 1980’s and 1990’s. They performed for a wide range of events including festivals, charities, universities, community centers, restaurants, and private parties.

Some of their venues included the Fairmount Hotel, Bimbos, Artist Embassy International, Golden Gate Park bandshell, Ashkenaz, Marin Civic Center, Mt. Tamalpais Mountain Theatre, UC Berkeley, Stanford, CA State Hayward, and the College of Marin.

Both Asha Goldberg and Louise Kanter Lipsey also performed individually as well as with other performing groups. Both taught ethnic dance classes at various Bay Area colleges and community centers for many years.
