Sa Sa

Serbia

This is a Serbian Roma Dance taught by Marija Krapcevich, the Director and Choreographer for Aska Kolo Ansambl, at Social Dances of the World Explore Serbia! Workshop on May 27, 2007.

This is the version done by the Serbian community in Northern California.

Dance is in 2/4 time. Tempo is moderate. Snaking line formation. Hands down in V-hold. The dance has only one pattern: a truncated schottische: "step together step hop, step together step hop, step hop, step hop." Hops are low. R=right foot, L=left foot, LOD=line of direction, CW=clockwise, CCW=counterclockwise.
